There are three guest rooms and one suite, all with a Queen-size bed, private bath with shower, fireplace with electric logs and two-person claw foot soaking tub. Choose from the Governor's Room, the Flapper's Room, or the Madam's Room, each with their own unique story to tell. Or choose to enjoy the the three room President's Suite, complete with its own wet bar and large bath with two-person shower/tub and four-poster canopy queen-size bed.

An inviting full country breakfast is served in the Americana Dining Room at 9 am. Coffee and tea is available at 7:45 a.m. in the parlor.

An Evening with

Mildred Childe Lee,
A Woman of the Confederacy     

     Buffalo Tavern will be sponsoring "An Evening with Mildred Childe Lee," the youngest daughter of General Robert E. Lee of the Confederacy during the War Between the States.

     The event will be held at the Ashe County Civic Center on Saturday, July 27, 2013 and is a fund raiser for the Frescoes Foundation (Those great people who raise money to protect and preserve the two Churches of the Frescoes in Ashe County.) Tickets will be $15 per person.
      Mildred, portrayed by Nora Brooks, has performed at Buffalo Tavern in the past. Nora is an outstanding performer and truly portrays her role as Mildred with excellence! She is extremely knowledgable about history and the performance is sure to be a great evening. Her "conversation" with her audience reminds me of the time I saw Hal Holbrook portray Mark Twain! What a show!
